Fitness
today means well-being. Well-being is not just absence of diseases, but
inner radiance of body, mind and spirit. Through a selective integration
of AYURVEDA and YOGA with the western fitness concept, it is possible to
offer a holistic approach that addresses the physical, psychological and
spiritual elements within us. And through a deep understanding of what
makes this approach succeed, there is a new dimension to commercialise
fitness.
The
Concept in a Capsule
-
Achieve
physical fitness through exercise that enhance your cardiovascular and
muscular fitness levels.
-
Rejuvenate
your mind and body through Ayurveda.
-
Attain
the inner radiance of body, mind and spirit through Yoga.
Ayurveda
- The Healing Touch
Ayur
means life. Veda means knowledge. Ayurveda means "the knowledge of
science of life." Ayurveda states that the body is made up of three
humoral properties - VATA (nervous functioning), PITTA (bile and other
secretions) and KAPHA (connective tissues). When these humoral principles
are well balanced the body experience perfect health. Ayurveda diagnosis
is based upon the degree, extent, nature etc., of imbalance of the humoral
principles and ayurvedic treatment is to bring them to its perfect
balance. An intrinsic part of ayurvedic treatment, the massage, rids the
body toxin's, corrects blood circulation and is a powerful muscle
relaxant.
YOGA
THE ULTIMATE ART
Yoga
is a process of integration of body, mind and spirit leading to wholeness.
This regulates the energy flow, focuses thoughts, steadies breath,
quietness and stills the mind.
Changes
takes place in the body at cellular levels as ASANAS (postures) are
performed. Muscles & joints, ligaments & tendons are toned up and
are made more flexible and subtle. Internal systems are fine tuned. Habits
and ways of thinking are systematically broken down. This shift in
perception makes youu live more freely, with a healthy body and an
unwavering mind.
Practice
of YOGA:-
ASANAS: Means steady pose. Performed slowly and consciously they deliver physical
and mental benefits.
RELAXATION: Yoga recharges the body and every single muscle group. Mind remains
totally focused and breath is regulated.
PRANAYAMA: Through controlled breathing it is possible to connect the body to its
fuel source, the cosmic energy. This energy is accumulated, stored and
chanalised. Practiced regularly, pranayama retards the aging process.
MEDITATION: The mind concentrated and quiet ended by the preceding routines is allowed
to rest in a state of complete stillness.
THE
APPROACH
The
facility has to be different from Gym. It has to be promoted as private
institute, which promotes a high value added product called WELL-BEING.
This will ensure a wider customer base.
The
emphasis is in retaining members through personalised fitness programmes
that deliver tangible results. There is no effort to alter lifestyle and
facilities are so compiled that they are easy to use.
The
programme offered will be for men and women of all ages and children. This
will ensure that the facilities are used throughout the day and not during
peek hours.
To
ensure long term patronage, membership fee will be charged. It is possible
to presell membership, while the project is being put up.
The
commercial viability of the project is ensured by making sure that all
facilities are continuously used by members.
